On the June 6, 2021 at the invitation of Lord Ricketts of Shortlands President of the Normandy Memorial Trust, the official opening of the British Normandy Memorial took place, in the presence of the British Ambassador, Mr. Llewellyn, and Mrs. Florence Parly, French Minister of Defense and many guests as well as residents of Ver-sur-Mer and those involved in the construction of the memorial.

The museum association was represented by it's president J-F Le Cuziat. In the afternoon, with the help of the members of the association, we were able to set up a "mini-shop" near the parking lot to sell some souvenirs including the medal published for the occasion and participate with our three guides ( Jean-François, Angélique and Christèle) to the free guided tours of the memorial organized by the Tourist Office "Gold Beach"

On June 6, 2021 at 4 p.m. despite the difficulties associated with the pandemic, we were able to gather in front of the memorials of the 4 / 7th Royal Dragoon Guards and the 5th Batallion The East Yorkshire Regiment during a ceremony organized by the municipality of Ver-sur-Mer. Our association was represented by its president J-F Le Cuziat, its vice-president Jean Chanal and assistant secretary Marie-Christine Delhinger. J-F Le Cuziat and Jean Chanal laid a wreath in the name of the association on the two memorials
